Polish Woman claiming to be missing British toddler Madeleine McCann gets DNA test results

A Polish woman who thought she was Madeleine McCann, a British girl who went missing from a family vacation in Portugal 16 years ago, has received DNA test results proving she is 100% Polish.

Julia Faustyna, also known as Julia Wendlet, a Polish woman, has been claiming for weeks on Instagram and TikTok that she is McCann, who went missing at the age of three, due to physical and age similarities.

"Julia's test results have arrived. We finally know the truth, "Fia Johansson, a psychic social media star who offered to be Faustyna's spokesperson during her search for answers, said in an Instagram statement on Tuesday.

"The results of the tests revealed that she is 100% Polish, with negligible influence from Lithuania and Russia," Johansson continued. "The DNA test results revealed no connection to British or even German ancestors."

As a result of her online speculation, Faustyna gained tens of thousands of followers, many of whom were critical of her claims on her Instagram account, @iammadeleinemccann. Last month, she and Johansson appeared on Dr. Phil together, but Johansson claims it was never about internet fame.

"With so many questions about her childhood, it's easy to understand where she was coming from," Johansson said.

In February, Faustyna's account began posting photos. The Polish woman claimed to have a spot in her right eye and a beauty mark on her cheek similar to McCann's. She also claimed that details about her childhood do not add up, leading her to believe she was kidnapped when she was a toddler.

According to Johansson, Faustyna has apparently reunited with her father as a result of the DNA test results, while McCann remains missing.

Kate and Gerry McCann, along with their three children - Madeleine and twins Sean and Amelie - were on vacation in Praia da Luz, Portugal, on May 3, 2007, when Madeleine was taken from her bed. The family was staying on the ground floor.

"Gerry and Kate are not issuing any statements or giving interviews unless requested by The Metropolitan Police," a spokesperson for the Official Find Madeleine Campaign previously told Fox News Digital in a statement.

The Metropolitan Police have told Fox News Digital that they have no new information about the investigation.

The Met Police said, "We continue to assist colleagues in Germany with their investigation."

Christian Brueckner, 45, a convicted child abuser and drug dealer, was named as a suspect in the 3-year-disappearance old's in 2020, though Brueckner, a German citizen, continues to deny any involvement in the case.

Brueckner is currently incarcerated in Germany for drug offenses. He also faces a seven-year prison sentence for raping a 72-year-old American woman in Praia da Luz in 2005.

The McCann family is accepting donations for the Madeleine search on their website, findmadeleine.com.
