Illegal brothel operator arrested in Zamfara by NSCDC

The Nigerian Security and Civil defence Corp have arrested a 45-year-old man identified as Malam Isah Ibrahim for operating an illegal brothel in Zamfara state

The suspect who has been in the business for over ten years is said to have been using a house he inherited from his late parents. The house is located in Ungwan Gwaza Community, behind Federal Medical Centre in Gusau, the Zamfara State Capital.

The suspect who confessed to the crime said he uses the residential apartment for these illicit activities by contracting underage girls and married women to men who patronize him. He says he was being paid the sum of five hundred naira only from everyone that comes to patronize the ladies he harbours, while the girls are being paid the sum of two or three thousand naira after every encounter with men.

The NSCDC stated that the suspect will be arraigned in court for forced labour and selling of minors for immoral purposes based on the penal code section 278, at the end of the investigations.
