The hearing in the case involving two teenagers who allegedly murdered an 11-year-old boy in Kasoa for ritual purposes could not begin because the state was unable to present the first witness.
The state prosecutor, Nana Ama Osei, told the High Court that his first witness had moved and they would call another witness.
As a result, the state asked the court to adjourn the case until Thursday, March 9, 2023, when the second witness is available to testify.
As a result, the court presided over by judge Lydia Osei Marfo adjourned the case to March 9 due to a special challenge by the prosecution.
The two teenagers are represented by Mr. Samuel Atuah and Mr. Martin Kpebu. Two teenagers are being held for the April 3, 2021 murder of Mensah Abdallah for alleged ritual purposes.
They allegedly lured the deceased into an unfinished building and killed him with a baton and a cement block.
