The Delta State Police Order has captured a 22-year-elderly person distinguished as Emmanuel Ujedibe for supposedly killing a sex specialist in a hotel in Asaba.
The state Commissioner of Police, Mohammed Ali, uncovered this on Friday November 11, while marching the suspect alongside others at the police base camp in Asaba.
He said, "The police were called to the location of the crime on November 4, 2022, by the administration of the hotel after the suspect escaped for carrying out the wrongdoing.
"We discovered that he took the young lady, who turned out to be a sex specialist, by the name, peace into the hotel and later killed her and set the room ablaze.
"He didn't stop there, in light of the fact that after he went into hiding, he kept himself prisoner and called his dad that he had been hijacked.
"The suspect requested that his dad send the amount of N4million as payoff for his freedom and later got N3million before he was grabbed."
The suspect, who claimed to be a student of Delta State university, Abraka admitted to the wrongdoing, saying that he killed the victim out of provocation after she supposedly stole his cell phone.
"Peace was my companion, I have know her for as long as about fourteen days(2 weeks). I regretted my action because I never intended to kill her.
"What happened is that we slept in the hotel room and when I awakened, I saw that my cell phone was missing, so I faced her.
"We got into an argument and in the process, I blew up and killed her. I set the room ablaze, it was an error on my part. The gas litter I was using to smoke burst into flames.
On his pretended hijack, Emmanuel said he lied to his father that he was kidnapped because he wanted to raise money to travel abroad.
